Weleda uses distilled and deionized water. Distilled water has been boiled and the steam has condensed, yielding pure, uncontaminated water.

Alcohol is another term for ethanol or ethyl alcohol. In manufacturing plant extracts contained in Weleda's products, mixtures of alcohol and water are used as extraction agents in some formulations. The consistency and stability of natural cosmetic products are improved by alcohol.

Jojoba Seed Oil is an oily liquid wax that is very similar to the protective layer of the human skin. It is very skin friendly, easily absorbed and is therefore a suitable care product for all skin types, especially for dry skin.

Peach Kernel Oil is a light oil that is absorbed easily by the skin, leaving it feeling soft and silky. It improves the barrier function of the skin and is therefore ideal for the use of sensitive and dry skin. Similar to the Sweet Almond and Peach Kernel Oil, it comprises of a high content of unsaturated fatty oils, such as oil and linoleic acid.

Used as a moisturizing agent due to its water-attracting properties and it makes skin feel smooth. Weleda uses glycerin derived from the coconut or palm kernel oil.

Wild Rose Oil is an effective plant oil for sensitive dry skin. It consists of plenty of linoleic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid that is easily absorbed by the skin. Thus, the pale-yellow to orange-red oil leaves the skin feeling soft and velvety.

Glyceryl Oleate is an emulsifier, that leaves skin feeling soft, silky and smooth.

Carnauba Wax is is used as a wax component and to improve consistency in skin care products.

Beeswax helps skin feel hydrated and moisturized. Beeswax helps skin feel soothed from dryness without inhibiting its ability to breathe.

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate is a dermatological compatible mineral bulking agent and stabilizer for emulsions, creams, toothpastes, gels or powder. It is a weathering product of various feldspars, which are considered the most important rock-forming minerals of the earth's crust.

Glyceryl Stearate SE also helps to smoothen and soften the skin, leaving behind a supple light feeling.
