Wild Rose Deodorant

Alcohol is another term for ethanol or ethyl alcohol. In manufacturing plant extracts contained in Weleda's products, mixtures of alcohol and water are used as extraction agents in some formulations. The consistency and stability of natural cosmetic products are improved by alcohol.

Weleda uses distilled and deionized water. Distilled water has been boiled and the steam has condensed, yielding pure, uncontaminated water.

Extracts from rose leaves have an astringent and toning effect and thus revitalize the skin. They are suitable as ingredients in skin care products for tired skin. Rose leaves contain tannins and essential oils.

Rosa Damascena Extract is derived from rose petals. Along with other essential oils it is used for aromatization.

In cosmetic products glycerin is used as a moisturizing agent due to its water-attracting properties and it makes skin feel smooth. Weleda uses glycerin derived from the coconut or palm kernel oil.

Fragrance (Parfum) is the collective name for raw materials that are used to perfume cosmetic products. For such products, Weleda only ever uses a mixture of essential oils. Synthetic fragrances are not utilized. (from essential oils)
