Weleda uses distilled and deionized water. Distilled water has been boiled and the steam has condensed, yielding pure, uncontaminated water.

Sunflower oil is a light vegetable oil that works as a perfect massage oil and it is ideal for the attention of normal and combination skin. Due to its high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, such as linoleic and oleic acid, it is full of skin caring properties.
Wool Wax
Lanolin
Lanolin is particularly suitable as an ingredient for products for the attention of dry and rough skin, and products in the diaper area. Its consistency and composition is very similar the human skin sebum. It is gained from raw wool after the shearing of sheep. The wax is able to bind water and has a high-water absorption capacity.
Sweet Almond Oil
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil
The fine and light Sweet Almond Oil is very skin-friendly and ideal for sensitive, dry skin. Sweet Almond Oil is very suitable for the care of infants and small children. It is characterized by a high content of unsaturated fatty oils, such as oil and linoleic acid.
Beeswax
Beeswax (Cera Alba)
Beeswax helps skin feel hydrated and moisturized. Beeswax helps skin feel soothed from dryness without inhibiting its ability to breathe.

Alcohol is another term for ethanol or ethyl alcohol. In manufacturing plant extracts contained in Weleda's products, mixtures of alcohol and water are used as extraction agents in some formulations. The consistency and stability of natural cosmetic products are improved by alcohol.
