Calendula Benefits
Gentle, Replenishing Care for Delicate Skin
The calming nature of calendula compounds helps make skin feel soothed – even the fragile skin of babies – with the utmost delicacy. Few plants are as adaptable and effective as calendula, which is precisely why Weleda has been cultivating its soothing powers in our gardens for over 80 years. High quality calendula is a versatile plant, known for its replenishing and restorative properties. As versatile as it is effective, Weleda uses calendula as the basis for more than 20 NATRUE-certified baby and body care products.
Spotlight Partnership: Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany
In Weleda’s biodynamic archive, calendula plays a key role. The Calendula Baby Care range is the most distinct example of where this soothing and gentle plant is put to work but many of our other skin care products could not be produced without calendula’s valuable extracts. Cultivation of the plant for fresh processing mainly takes place in Europe's largest Biodynamic® plant garden, at our base in Schwäbisch Gmünd, southern Germany.
